Elk Camp takes an elevated approach to casual on-mountain dining with abundant house-made, seasonal options. Take a breather from the mountain at this awe-inspiring place. Boasting a graceful, curved roof and stone columns, its design is inspired from the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Cozy up next to the fireplace with a hearty bowl of grass-fed beef chili and fresh, cornbread or create your own salad with an array of fresh greens, organic vegetables and house-made dressings. Summer or winter, dining al fresco on the deck is always a good choice in sunny weather. Every Friday night during the peak of winter season, we honor of the Norse God of Snow — Ullr — with Ullr Nights, a nighttime, winter wonderland party. Friends and family take an evening gondola ride up to Elk Camp for outdoor winter activities such as tubing, riding the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, snowbiking, s'mores and hot chocolate by the bonfire. Dance to live music and enjoy an a la carte culinary celebration.

Nice place, but overpriced. Other mountain bars are more economical

Questions & Answers

Yes, with a foot passenger ticket. Elk Camp Gondola up to Elk Camp Restaurant. Great food, full bar, good wine selection, big Deck for sunny days, Alpine (roller) coaster, inner tubing, snowshoe tours and good coffee. My favorite is the stew of the day with a small french baguette. At the bar ask For a Special cocktail. Enjoy the view on the way up and down. If you walk up, you ride down for free. Johnny Bokram
